2009 McNamara Group Christmas Party
Every year Carolyn and the staff host a Christmas party for all the children in the Phelan/Pinon Hills area. Lots of fun was to be had this year, with pony rides, a bounce house, reindeer & a parrot from Foreverwild Exotic Animal Sanctuary and as always, a special visit from Santa himself. Jimmer from Kat Country 100.7FM was there broadcasting live on the radio, keeping everyone updated on contests and doing interviews. Here are a few select photos from the event...

The McNamara Group Hosts Christmas Event
By Michael Palecki
Children of all ages joyfully participated in the McNamara Community Christmas Party on December 13th.Hosted by Phelan Realtor and community activist Carolyn McNamara-she commented "It's all about the children". And it certainly was with pony rides, a state-of-the -art bounce house and a menagerie of animals.
Broadcasting the event live from Phelan, DJ Jimmer of Kat Country 100.7 urged radio listeners to enjoy the beautiful day with Carolyn and the kids. While adults enjoyed Country music the children had other things on their minds. They frolicked in Dora the Explorer, the next generation of bounce houses-with secret tunnels, slides and of course, bouncing areas.
Others where secured in the saddle by Linda O'Leary on the pony ride, moved from Mojave Narrows Park for the party. Little Carter Morrow of Pinon Hills seemed to be the least flustered kid in the saddle because he rides horses frequently at Circle H Youth Camp. For him, the real excitement was being the great-grandson of Santa Claus.
At the request of Carolyn McNamara, the guests where invited to bring their animals to the party. The pets where on their best behavior. There where plenty of dogs, a parrot and a special appearance by Norman-a six-month old male deer. As Tammy Tipples of Foreverwild led Norman around, he seemed to enjoy being the center of attention with his his colorful Christmas leash. Eat your heart out dogs!!
Of course, the highlight of the day for the kids was visiting with Santa. It was indeed, all about the children.
